Queer Asia aims to build bridges of communication and understanding by exploring LGBT culture in 4 different Asian countries: Hong Kong, Philippines, Japan, and Vietnam. We seek to have candid, respectful conversations about many topics that are considered “taboo” in many societies, especially in Asia. Through each person’s willingness to share their personal experience and story, either as an LGBT person or an ally or opponent, we hope to get an insight into LGBT lives and see them through an array of fresh perspectives. In Queer Philippines, we have 3 episodes: “Out and Proud,” “HIV Status in the Philippines,” and “Transgender Situation in the Philippines.
